Hello,
I cannot reproduce "fails to install" although I see the warning
message. dpkg exits with success (exit code 0) and reports the package
as successfully installed.
(sid)root@argenau:/# apt install t-code ; echo $? ; dpkg -l t-code | cat
[...]
ERROR: t-code is broken - called emacs-package-install as a new-style add-on, but has no compat file.
