Package: nast
Version: 0.2.0-12
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer,
libnet 1.1.6 was replaced by version 1.3 in Debian on 2024-10-02. This
version was released with Debian 13 (Trixie). The problem is that several
functions were removed or replaced in the new libnet, and I haven’t seen
any coordinated migration effort within Debian.
In my case, my package packit builds successfully, but it no longer works
at runtime because it calls functions that no longer exist:
libnet_arp_hdr
libnet_ether_addr
libnet_ethernet_hdr
libnet_icmpv4_hdr
libnet_ipv4_hdr
libnet_tcp_hdr
libnet_udp_hdr
Your package appears to use functions that are no longer provided by libnet
1.3. I searched for libnet_.*_hdr on Debian CodeSearch [1] and I found your
package. I then downloaded the source from Sid and confirmed the usage of
libnet_ipv4_hdr or similar with egrep.
[1] https://codesearch.debian.net/search?q=libnet_.*_hdr&literal=0
Please check whether your package still works as expected and feel free to
adjust the severity of this bug if necessary.
Keep in mind that it is very likely your package is also not running properly
on Debian 13 (Trixie).
Best regards,
Eriberto

Dear maintainer,
The libnet 1.3 seems working fine with your package, so I am closing this bug.
Regards,
