Package: wondershaper Version: 1.1a-4 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Hi, after using the wondershaper for some years, i did some improvements to it to fit my needs, which might be useful for others too, so i post them as feature request for the debian package. The modifications in the attached patch are: * added scripts to control wondershaper by a one-line entry in /etc/network/interfaces * changed calling syntax (see also #253385) * add a 'reload' option to change the traffic limit(s) on the fly, i.e., make use of the 'tc class change' command. Useful for testing and possibly for dynamic traffic shaping * use the HTB version * move some hardcoded options to /etc/default * updated the docs I'm sorry for the large patch, but dividing it into working smaller patches failed because of point 2 (changed syntax). Best regards, - Dietrich -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-1-k7 Locale: LANG=de_DE@euro, LC_CTYPE=de_DE@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages wondershaper depends on: ii iproute 20051007-4 Professional tools to control the wondershaper recommends no packages.Attachment: wondershaper-dc_2006-08-24.diff.gz
