Package: unar
Severity: normal

I request assistance with maintaining the unar package.

The package description is:

The Unarchiver is an archive unpacker program with support for the popular
zip, RAR, 7z, tar, gzip, bzip2, LZMA, XZ, CAB, MSI, NSIS, EXE, ISO, BIN,
and
split file formats, as well as the old Stuffit, Stuffit X, DiskDouble,
Compact
Pro, Packit, cpio, compress (.Z), ARJ, ARC, PAK, ACE, ZOO, LZH, ADF, DMS,
LZX,
PowerPacker, LBR, Squeeze, Crunch, and other old formats.
 .
This package contains the lsar tool which lists the contents of archives
and
the unar tool which extracts those contents.

Unar is an important dependency to a wide range of archiver-related packages
(KDE's ark, GNOME's file-roller, xarchiver, etc.) I have adopted it after
the previous ITS process as in https://bugs.debian.org/1008569 .

When updating it to the latest upstream release (1.10.7), its autopkgtest
fails on some release architectures (armhf, s390x). Since this project is
written in Objective-C which is unfamiliar to me and crashes on some
hardware architectures different from i386/arm64, debugging is not easy to
me. Help is welcome on fixing bugs for the 1.10.7+ds1-1 version, which you
may find its source package archived in snapshot.debian.org.

Thanks,
Boyuan Yang
