Package: el-get
Version: 3.1-1
Severity: wishlist
File: /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50el-get.el

As a suggestion, 50el-get.el could include the ".rcp" auto-mode-alist
setup which is in /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/el-get/el-get.el

    (add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '("\\.rcp\\'" . emacs-lisp-mode))

Since this doesn't use el-get.el itself it can be done always, ie. at
the top-level in 50el-get.el outside its "package-dir" existence test.

Having this at startup gives a good mode if visiting .rcp files before
loading el-get.el as such.
