Package: kinput2-common Version: 3.1-1 Severity: normal The documentation files defkeys.wnn and defaultkeys.gz does not match the installation default (which is Egg). It has taken me hours of work to figure out how kinput2 was handling keybindings; I think the package should contain a clear explanation that the default keybinding is a choice of two, and that it defaults to Egg. I would also appreciate it if it were documented how to change keybindings on a per-user basis, without modifying the files in /etc/kinput2. I suspect this is possible from observing the strace output of kinput2. More generally, the whole documentation of kinput2 and how it works is quite poor. There is no mention that the LC_CTYPE variable must be set appropriately to get kinput2 to work at all, for example. If you want to make a serious effort to improve the documentation, I will try to help in whatever way I can.
