Package: libapache2-mod-auth-kerb
Version: 5.4-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
We found that some users of our kerberos enabled http server were unable to login although other users were able to do it.
After some kerberos testing we realized that the problem was not in the kerberos configuration.
The problem is that if the user has a complex password (including regional chars: Ñ Ç ) then, the user is unable to authenticate.

Error shown in apache logs: krb5_get_init_creds_password() failed: Preauthentication failed

If the user enters a wrong password, then the error is slightly different (but is a correct shown error):

krb5_get_init_creds_password() failed: Client not found in Kerberos database

Thanks in advance for your help and hard work!
