Package: pstotext Version: 1.91 I am using the pstotext program to process pdf's of our local newspaper, and I find that about 10-11% of the time, it crashes. Sometimes it crashes halfway trough, sometimes immediately. Not being skillfull in postscript source, I tried deleting text and/or images manually, but the problem just shifted - finally it went trough when the page was completely empty. All of the pdf's that give errors are processed fine with version 1.85g - but version 1.91 does a much better job, I find. I tried with different versions of Ghostscript as well (afpl 8.14, gpl 8.01, afpl 7.04)...no difference. I attached one of the PDF's that crashes so you can see what I'm talking about.
