Package: sanitizer
Version: 1.66-1
Severity: normal

sanitizer can be invoked with a manually specified configuration file,
and if no file is specified a number of (supposedly appropriate)
defaults are used. It would be most helpful if the default configuration
(used when none other was specified) were stored somewhere in /etc. This
would make it easy to modify just a single feature (turn of logging in
my case) with absolute assurance that everything else would continue as
previously.

I assume that this can be accomplished by copying
/usr/share/doc/sanitizer/sanitizer.cfg1 into /etc/sanitizer.cfg, and
then manually referencing it when invoking sanitizer. This, however,
should be unnecessary, and is not consistant with other similar programs
which read their default configuration from /etc.
