Package: memtest86 Severity: important Tags: patch Some people (like me ;) are still using serial consoles; memtest86 has an option to enable it (one small change in config.h), but it's disabled by default (since it slows down the test). It would be nice to build (differently named, perhaps) package that includes serial-console support. Tagged 'important' because even though it's fairly easy to configure basic components of Debian system (boot loader, kernel messages, login console, etc...), but standard memtest86 does not work that way. Exactly the same bug and patch applies to memtest86+ - I shall not report it twice.
