Package: libnss-ldap
Version: 264-2.2
Severity: normal

I'm configuring a client to do LDAP authentication for accounts on the system. In /etc/libnss-ldap.conf
I have the LDAP server uri specified (as generated by debconf). The 'host' option with the default address
of 127.0.0.1 is commented out.

However, nscd is unable to connect to the server (I get server unavailable messages in the logs). Running
strace on getent shows it opening a connection to 127.0.0.1 (and never to the LDAP server).

Uncommenting the 'host' option and setting it explicitly to the LDAP server address fixes the problem.

I'm running without any security (SSL/TLS) set up.

Best,

Dan
