Package: sysvinit Version: 2.84-3 Severity: normal After a discussion on debian-mentors, i was finally able to trace back the reason which caused unmounts to fail on systems that had libnss-ldap installed (which uses libraries from /usr/lib). The problem turned out to be /etc/init.d/rc which uses bash on default systems which in turn loads the NSS module. The solution would be to use ash as the interpreter for that script, or to rewrite it in some language that does not require NSS modules.
