Package: fusesmb Version: 0.8.7-1.1 Severity: normal I just installed fusesmb as an alternative to mount.cifs (which is no longer setuid root) but the mount point is always empty. I created ~/.smb/fusesmb.conf with rw permissions for user only with the following content: ======================= [global] username=NANCY/fmothe password=my_LDAP_password showhiddenshares=true timeout = 10 interval = 10 ======================= I launch fusesmb with: fusesmb ~/montages/tmp There is no error message and the 'mount' command gives: /dev/hda3 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro) (...) fusectl on /sys/fs/fuse/connections type fusectl (rw) fusesmb on /home/mothe/montages/tmp type fuse.fusesmb (rw,nosuid,nodev,max_read=32768,user=mothe) But the mount point is always empty... I am sure to have smb shares accessible with this username and password. For instance, I can see plenty of shared disks with the command: smbclient -L //mandragore -U "NANCY/fmothe%my_LDAP_password" -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (600, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30 Locale: LANG=fr_FR@euro, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages fusesmb depends on: ii fuse-utils 2.8.1-1.2 Filesystem in USErspace (utilities ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libfuse2 2.8.1-1.2 Filesystem in USErspace library ii libsmbclient 2:3.4.5~dfsg-2 shared library for communication w ii samba-common 2:3.4.5~dfsg-2 common files used by both the Samb ii samba-common-bin 2:3.4.5~dfsg-2 common files used by both the Samb fusesmb recommends no packages. fusesmb suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
