Understandable, thanks.
Though this is all mostly moot since the bug was from over a year ago.
I did wind up backporting it locally for Buster, and Bullseye has since
been released and includes ftp-ssl.
As you noted tnftp doesn't to FTPS, and curl is non-interactive. I
haven't tried using lftp yet, but I looked briefly at it and think it
would probably work for my needs.
