Bug#951204: libdleyna-core-1.0-5 can't be upgraded: trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdleyna-core-1.0.so.5.0.0', which is also in package libdleyna-core-1.0-3:amd64 0.6.0-1
Package: libdleyna-core-1.0-5
Version: 0.6.0-3
Severity: serious
Heya,
Disclaimer: this happened on Ubuntu and I haven't tried on Debian yet.
Not sure if this bug should be RC since this affects only people who
picked up 0.6.0-1 from experimental. (Ubuntu synced this so it's a more
important problem for us on that side.)
When upgrading, apt bombed out like this:
Selecting previously unselected package libdleyna-core-1.0-5:amd64.^M
Preparing to unpack .../064-libdleyna-core-1.0-5_0.6.0-3_amd64.deb ...^M
Unpacking libdleyna-core-1.0-5:amd64 (0.6.0-3) ...^M
dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-B5lolQ/064-libdleyna-core-1.0-5_0.6.0-3_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libdleyna-core-1.0.so.5.0.0', which is also in package libdleyna-core-1.0-3:amd64 0.6.0-1
Looks like a missing Breaks/Replaces: 0.6.0-1 had the bumped SONAME but
the package wasn't renamed until later, so there's a file conflict with
upgrades from that version only.
Cheers,
