Package: polipo
Version: 1.0.4-1

Steps to reproduce:

    # apt-get install roundup polipo
    $ roundup-demo              # in another window
    $ export http_proxy=http://127.0.0.1:8123/
    $ unset no_proxy
    $ midori http://127.0.0.1:8917/

    > Click "Register" link.
    > Enter "Login Name" as "al".
    > Enter "Login Password" as "al".
    > Enter "Confirm Password" as "al".
    > Enter "e-mail address" as "al@nic.mil".
    > Click "Register" button.

The following output is generated:

    417 Expectation failed

    The following error occurred while trying to access http://127.0.0.1:8917/demo/user:

    417 Expectation failed

    Generated Mon, 26 Jan 2009 12:50:20 EST by Polipo on Clio:8123.

The problem DOES NOT occur when using w3m in place of midori.
The problem DOES NOT occur when http_proxy is not set.
In both cases, one is taken to a normal roundup page with the message

    You are now registered, welcome!

Please let me know what more I can do to isolate the cause of this problem.

Note that once you successfully register a user, you will need to
change "al" in the above instructions to something else (e.g. "bo"),
or interrupt the roundup-demo process, remove the ./demo/ directory
and run roundup-demo again.
