Package: ipcheck
Version: 0.134-1
Severity: wishlist

It'd be lovely if the ipcheck package did all the magic required to
have it automatically update the dyndns.org database when one's IP
address actually changed. I suspect most users have simply setup cron
to update the dyndns.org database, regardless of whether or not their
IP address had changed. It'd be nice if ipcheck not only updated only
when necessary (ie: on IP address change) but also made sure it
updated at least every 28 days to make sure people with static or
relatively static dynamic IPs didn't lose their hostnames. Also, I
believe setting up cron to update often (read: every five minutes)
falls into the category of "abuse" under the terms of the dyndns.org
user agreement.
