Package: fwknop-client
Version: 2.5.1-1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

I'm running a Debian 6.0.7 server with fwknop-server 1.9.12 installed. From my Notebook (current testing) im sending SPA-Packets from fwknop-client 2.5.1-1.

According to the man page im using the -M legacy flag but it's not working (on the server side there are no entries in the logs except “14406 Premature end of base64 data at /usr/sbin/fwknopd line 1944.” in errs/fwknopd.warn which also is shown with older clients). Even in verbose mode and log level DEBUG there are further informations. All worked fine with the prior client, after the upgrade to 2.5.1-1 the problem occured.

My fwknop call looks like this (I also tried variations):

fwknop -v -A tcp/443,tcp/22 -R -D 1.2.3.4 --server-proto=udp --server-port=80 -M legacy --gpg-home-dir=/home/user/.gnupg --gpg-recipient=01234567 --gpg-signer-key=89ABCDEF --spoof-user=user

The client says:

[…]
Generating SPA packet:
  protocol: udp
  source port: <OS assigned>
  destination port: 80
  IP/host: 1.2.3.4
send_spa_packet: bytes sent: 1014

IMO there is no relationship with http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=682819 – so I'm starting a new one.

Since this bug refers to a version of fwknop prior to what's in
oldoldstable, it can be considered resolved.
