Package: backuppc
Version: 3.3.1-4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I ask to reopen bug #820963.

Patch has been applied in unstable branch but not in stable.

Backuppc's smb backups are broken if samba is updated to the last version in stable repository making the package unusable.

I've solved installing unstable backuppc version, but I think this solution will soon not been available due to dependencies problems.
