Bug#910022: nis: client ceased to work since -no-dbus option given in /etc/default/nis has been removed.
Package: nis
Version: 3.17.1-3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
probably the upgrade to debian version -3 brought removal of the -no-dbus
option to ypbind, however the option was given in the automatically
installed /etc/default/nis, from this version or an older one.
the binding worked after manual removal of -no-dbus in /etc/default/nis
please note ypbind is behaving very queer, the program does work if i only
add -v to the beforementioned -no-debug, however it gives an error.
