After installation of 'testing' version, all files in
/etc/gnats/defaults were missing. This resulted in not being able to
create the default GNATS directory:
# su - gnats
$ /usr/lib/gnats/mkdb default
Copying default files from /etc/gnats/defaults
cp: cannot stat `/etc/gnats/defaults/categories': No such file or directory
Can't copy file /etc/gnats/defaults/categories to /var/lib/gnats/gnats-db/gnats-adm/categories, exiting
Suggested workaround:
# rm -fr /var/lib/gnats/gnats-db
# dpkg --fsys-tarfile \
/var/cache/apt/archives/gnats_3.999.beta2+cvs20030310-1_i386.deb |
tar xvCf / - ./etc/gnats/defaults
# su - gnats
$ /usr/lib/gnats/mkdb default
