Having set "LANG=de_DE@euro" and configuring perlpanel via "Actions -> Configure" and then selecting a position this leads to an entry position="oben" in ~/.perlpanelrc which then in turn breaks a running perlpanel. Manually fixing ~/.perlpanelrc and restarting it is necessary.
