Package: apt-p2p Version: 0.1.5 Severity: wishlist I wonder if UDP lookups should not be p2p as well, for example a tree or mesh where each hosts sends the UDP lookup to 5 or 10 other hosts... If there is enough data TCP xfers can be used instead, like the gnutella networks... or rather opposite as they use TCP primarily and UDP only for DCC responses. Next time I see this I'll get more information on what is going on, I was in such a hurry at the time I changed IPs. After about 5min the network settled down enough so that I could use it, I only have a small WIFI pipe the stream coming in wasn't even 1.54mb and it basically caused an outage. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-bpo.1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages apt-p2p depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii python 2.5.2-3 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-apt 0.7.7.1+nmu1 Python interface to libapt-pkg ii python-debian 0.1.10 Python modules to work with Debian ii python-pysqlite2 2.4.1-1 Python interface to SQLite 3 ii python-support 0.8.4lenny1 automated rebuilding support for P ii python-twisted-web2 8.1.0-1 An HTTP/1.1 Server Framework apt-p2p recommends no packages. apt-p2p suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
