I just tried to reproduce your problem but after installing kmldonkey and enabling the
mldonkey-server, I could start kmldonkey. However, I was unable to connect to the
mldonkey-server. It always results in an error message.

Is the server running in your case? What's the output of:

	$ systemctl status mldonkey-server

It might be possible that either the server (mldonkey) or the client (kmldonkey) need
to be updated after a change in either of the two components.
