Package: gpointing-device-settings Version: 1.5.1-2 Severity: important I just installed the latest gpointing-device-settings from the repo today, 25 October 2010. I am using squeeze. The program forgets that I have tried to turn off the scratchpad when an external pointing device is connected within minutes of being activated. At first I thought I could live with this by putting an icon on the screen and resetting the thing when I needed to, but this is ridiculous! I had synaptiks on PCLINUXOS and never had this problem. I am reporting this problem as severe, since the program is useless as it stands. I just reset the program, and it's only seconds since, and it has failed again already. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gpointing-device-settings depends on: ii gconf2 2.28.1-4 GNOME configuration database syste ii libatk1.0-0 1.30.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.11.2-6+squeeze1 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.8.10-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.88-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgconf2-4 2.28.1-4 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.2-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpds0 1.5.1-2 library for configuration of point ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-1+b1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.1-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libxi6 2:1.3-4 X11 Input extension library gpointing-device-settings recommends no packages. gpointing-device-settings suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
