Package: lynx
Version: 2.8.5-2sarge2.2
Severity: minor

While running lynx on a Compaq Presario 1200 12XL408A (12XL405a with
German keyboard, I think), I did the following (four times):

ehayes@laptop:~$ lynx http://www.google.com/

Got to the Google page and searched for:

     rsync "code 23"

If I select the third link down when I searched. which was:

   Computing.Net - rsync error ?
Sep 13, 2004 ... rsync error: partial transfer (code 23) is an rsync general error. What it means is for whatever
reason at least one write/delete did not ...
   www.computing.net/answers/linux/rsync-error-/26531.html - 22k - Cached - Similar pages

it crashes immediately and I get:

A Fatal error has occurred in Lynx Ver. 2.8.5rel.1

Please notify your system administrator to confirm a bug, and
if confirmed, to notify the lynx-dev list. Bug reports should
have concise descriptions of the command and/or URL which causes
the problem, the operating system name with version number, the
TCPIP implementation, and any other relevant information.

Do NOT mail the core file if one was generated.

Lynx now exiting with signal: 11

Aborted
ehayes@laptop:~$

This link works well (using Lynx) on another Debian/etch system I have,
but both are up to date as of this morning (24 April 2008).

The kernel on the laptop is 2.6.18.dsfg.1-18etch1

Note that I have NOT notified lynx-dev list...
