Bug#779808: fte inserts non-printable character in the documents while typing

Version: 0.50.2b6-2

fte inserts a non-printable character after any char >127 I type, such 
as accented letters, making it unusable.

Considering the orphaned state of the package, its numerous bugs, the 
fact upstream dried up long ago, and the numerous available alternative, 
I recommand putting the package to death.
