Bug#779666: qtsmbstatus-server: fails to upgrade from 'wheezy': insserv: Service samba has to be enabled to start service qtsmbstatusd

Package: qtsmbstatus-server
Version: 2.2.1-3
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa@lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from
'wheezy'.
It installed fine in 'wheezy', then the upgrade to 'jessie' fails.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Setting up samba (2:4.1.17+dfsg-1) ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/samba ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/logrotate.d/samba ...
update-alternatives: warning: alternative /usr/bin/smbstatus.samba3 (part of link group smbstatus) doesn't exist; removing from list of alternatives
update-alternatives: warning: /etc/alternatives/smbstatus is dangling; it will be updated with best choice
insserv: Service samba has to be enabled to start service qtsmbstatusd
  insserv: exiting now!
update-rc.d: error: insserv rejected the script header
dpkg: error processing package samba (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of qtsmbstatus-server:
   qtsmbstatus-server depends on samba; however:
Package samba is not configured yet.

dpkg: error processing package qtsmbstatus-server (--configure):
   dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

This is caused by the incompatible dependencies in the *old*
qtsmbstatusd initscript, but that won't be replaced before the
configure stage (which requires samba to be configured first).
Being activated, the old initscripts causes insserv to error out.

The recently added Breaks in samba is not sufficient to fix this.
This is especially a problem for wheezy->jessie upgrades since jessie
has no qtsmbstatus-server package.

cheers,

Andreas
