Package: sml-mode
Version: 4.1-2
Severity: normal
File: /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50sml-mode.el

With sml-mode installed, running

    xemacs -q -batch

prints

Error while loading 50sml-mode: Symbol's function definition is void: file-expand-wildcards

It looks like the emacsen site-start runner ignores that error, but it'd
be good to make it clean.

I think file-expand-wildcards is not available in xemacs. Perhaps the
check in 50sml-mode.el

    (zerop (length (file-expand-wildcards smldir)))

could look for a file-exists-p of a particular file like sml-mode.el or
sml-mode-startup.elc or whatever in that directory. That might also be
more reliable than asking if the directory is non-empty.
