Package: elilo
Severity: wishlist

I am a complete ia64 admin newb, but I was suprised to find that when I
ran elilo after installing a new kernel, the elilo.conf it generated
incorrectly set root=/dev/sda3. It's /dev/sda2 here, and this seems
trivial to determine. I've found the long and complex elilo invocation
that makes it use /dev/sda2. It would IMHO be nicer if it autodetected
it. I'm filing this as a wishlist bug since I don't know if there's some
good reason for using a hardcoded default instead of looking to see
what's currently mounted as the root.
