Comments/Problems:

_known bug_:
_red_ background color at installation screen:
       with boot parameter acpi=on
with boot parameter "_debian-installer/fremebuffer=false_"
background color is _blue_ but _charset is not well defined_ for chars defined in ascii code

_installation bug_:
afer installation of the base system: (booting debian for the first time) base configuration tool fetch packages: from 'sources.list' = 'deb http://ftp.at.debian.org/debian testing main'
after configuring system time and so on:
1. i have selected for my system NO aditional package on the system configuration tool
2. configuration tool will install the necessary pacages with the command:
output from aptitude: (runnig from configuration tool)
listed by ps -Af
# aptitude --without-recommends -y install ~prequired ~pimportant ~pstandard ~t^german$
produces following error:

Some packages had unmet dependencies. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libreadline-common: Conflicts: libreadline4 (< 4.3-13) but 4.3-11 is to be installed.

There are some "E: errortext (dependencies could not resloved or so ...)" outputs to 'stderr' which are between some lines in the text above
(not viewed, i doesn't know how to redirect stdout and stderr to a file)

With
'sources.list' = 'deb http://ftp.at.debian.org/debian UNSTABLE main'
there is no problem - but i want to install a debian testing system, an this installer image is primarly designed to install a testing system!

thanks,

We haven't had more reports recently (and some people have reported
it as fixed). I believe this bug has somehow been fixed in the kernel
itself.
