Version: 0.6+debian-1

The package is not built against libncursesw. This means at least the
Russian translation is not functional.

In the debian/rules file this is disabled:
CFLAGS="$(CFLAGS)" ./configure $(CROSS) --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc
--with-widec=no

The --with-widec variable should have been set to "yes".

I'm using Debian Lenny.
