Package: qemacs Version: 0.2+really0.3pre12-2 Severity: normal If I invoke qe, opening a new qemacs X window, and set the charset to koi8-r or UTF-8, say, then I am able to type successfully in that non-ascii language (in russian or whichever). If, however, I invoke qemacs in console mode ("qe -nw") and set the buffer's charset, then qemacs is not able to type in that language, it renders non-ascii characters as '?' instead. The console (xterm or Eterm) itself works fine with non-ascii input, and each of vim, jed and "emacs -nw" (with mule) work fine with non-ascii input (jed works with the koi8-r charset but not UTF-8). Version: 0.3.1.cvs.20050713-5+rm You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/152696 in Debian BTS against the package qemacs. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will remain open for older distributions. For more information about this package's removal, read http://bugs.debian.org/550492. That bug might give the reasons why this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements. Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question. Thank you for your contribution to Debian. -- Marco Rodrigues
