Bug#558105: defoma-doc: defoma-hints docs should mention that opentype is not supported

Package: defoma-doc
Severity: minor

I am trying to install local Opentype fonts into Debian using
defoma. For some years now, Opentype is the industry standard for
fonts. defoma seems to supports opentype fonts somehow, but defoma-hints
obviously doesn't support autogenerating hints for this (bug
#477435, side note in bug #422763). The bug reports exist since
two years now, this seems to be a design limitation.

The defoma documentation doesn't mention any font formats, so one
would expect opentype is supported by all parts of defoma. I would propose
adding a sentence like "Supported font categories are truetype and
type1" to the "Description" section of the defoma-hints manpage
(or supporting opentype, but that doesn't seem to happen soon).

Thanks,

Michael Below
