Package: mimedecode
Version: 1.9-2
Severity: normal

Error description:

I am pre filtering SPAM manuell inside of procmail before spamassassin.
For this it is neccesarily to decode soem "Subject:" headers, because
many SPAMers using base64 and qp encodings to aviod detection be SPAM

Now if I pipe

    SUB=`formail -zx Subject: |mimedecode`

I get results like:

I have encountered that mimedecode does not support the

    =?ISO-8859-.[1].[0-9]?[qQbB? ....  ?=

strings at the beginning of a Line which isan Error.
So if I try to decode:

it does not work but:

Mist =?iso-8859-1?B?UHJvYmzobWUgZCdpbnN0YWxsYXRpb24gYXZlYyAgbGUgQ29tcGFxIFBy?=
Mist =?iso-8859-1?B?ZXNhcmlvIDIxMDAvMjEyMA==?=

Mist =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Economisez_jusqu'=E0_30=80_avec_le_MOIS_du_PACK_!?=

Please can you correct the a code ?
This will make mimedecode more useful because pre filtering with
'sed' and then decoding with (qp|base64)-decode taks to much time.

You filled the bug http://bugs.debian.org/294523 in Debian BTS
against the package mimedecode. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/354177. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.

Marco Rodrigues
