Bug#16861: marked as done (xplaycd: cannot use X dead-keys)

and subject line mctools-lite has been removed from Debian, closing #16861
has caused the Debian Bug report #16861,
regarding xplaycd: cannot use X dead-keys
to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

The widgets used by xplaycd do not behave correctly regarding dead
keys. For example, entering <dead-diaeresis>-<i> outputs the
2-characters string `"i'.  On the other hand, chars like "eacute",
which have a key on my french keyboard, are correctly displayed.

I see that ldd doesn't report any widget library, so I guess it is a
custom widget-set.  Please feel free to forward this bug to the people
concerned with this.

the bugs that were still opened against it.
