Package: diald
Version: 0.99-1.1

When nmbd in samba package is running, it seems to try communicating
with other servers by periodically broadcasting netbios-dgm UDP
packets to all 'up' network interfaces. In some cases, this causes
diald to keep the connection up even when there is no valid traffic.

I suggest adding the following rule to the standard.filter:

ignore udp udp.source=udp.netbios-dgm,udp.dest=udp.netbios-dgm

I am using these packages:

The diald package has been removed from Debian so we are closing
the bugs that were still opened against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/526512 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.

Kind regards,
