Bug#476145: still in version 1.0.1-4

I was able to reproduce this bug in version 1.0.1-4 fresh from Sid.
However, not only did the garbled term appear, it also locked up my
system on any attempt to close the aterm window.  The screen flickered
for a bit, before becoming absolutely nonresponsive.  It wouldn't
respond to CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE, or any other kind of input.  All I
could do was a hard reboot.  I managed to reproduce this same reaction
multiple times.

I'm running Debian Sid amd64, and the Xfce desktop.
