Bug#378978: Open Motif needs some love

Hi Amaya,

as the maintainer of arb which rdepends libmotif3 I had a look at the
OpenMotif package. Once you issued #378978 which blames OpenMotif to
have a real lot of lintian warnings - which I really agree to. While
I worked on the package I fixed those warnings and errors that seem
really urgent to me. The remaining ones are overriden with the following
override files:

# Well the package actualle contains three libraries but none of
# them has a name identical to the package name - but at least
# the soversion is correct for all. Splitting up the package into
# three would be an option to fix this lintian warning - but this
# deserves more than a QA upload
libmotif3: package-name-doesnt-match-sonames libMrm3 libUil3 libXm3

All other warnings are man page related and I have overriden these
like that:

# Surely these lintian warnings about errors in man pages should be fixed.
# The reson for the following overrides is just to make sure that the pure
# number of these man page problems might hide any other more relevant
# problem in the package and thus they are overriden for the moment.
# Andreas Tille <tille@debian.org>
motif-clients: manpage-has-errors-from-man usr/share/man/man1/mwm.1.gz 2: warning: `..' not defined
motif-clients: manpage-section-mismatch usr/share/man/man1/mwm.1.gz:49 1 != user cmd
...

As you can read I'm not happy to just override the manpage problems but
IMHO it is better to make sure that these problems will not cover more
important ones. Do you think, this is "enough" love to close the bug?
I just close it in the changelog but it would be perfectly OK if you think:
"Hell no, these thousand manpage bugs have to vanish." In this case
please reopen - but I will not be able to work on this in the near
future.

At least with the exception of #297773 all other relevant bugs will
be fixed with my upload - so I hope to have showed some love ...

Love and kisses

          Andreas. ;-)
