Package: skribe
Version: 1.2b-1
Severity: wishlist

The current `skribe' package contains a version of Skribe compiled
with Bigloo. Skribe, however, is also ported to STkLos and it would
be nice to let the user choose between these two implementations (STkLos
and Bigloo are quite different Scheme implementations and some of these
differences are indeed visible to the Skribe end-user).

This new package could be named `skribe-stklos', and it could replace `skribe';
`skribe' should be set to replace `skribe-stklos' as well, so that only
one of these two packages is available. I'm not sure it would be very
useful to allow both implementations to be installed anyway.

The skribe package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/396516 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
