Package: tex-guy
Version: 1.2.4-3
Severity: normal
A couple years ago, I used to use dvi2html (which calls out to dvi2ppm)
to turn my tex files into nice web pages (I prefer it to the
latex2html-style solutions). At some point in the last year
or so, it started creating images that are all black. I've narrowed it
down to the dvi2ppm step, and I've searched around to see if it's
something I'm doing or if it's a known problem, but as far as I can
tell, it's not me.
$ dvi2ppm -to 1 -LETTER ps3.dvi -ofile ps3.ppm
results in a ps3.ppm that is all black pixels when opened with the gimp.
This happens with every dvi file I have tried.
