The netcdf libraries provided with testing appear not to contain the
fortran interface.
If, for instance one has the program
PRINT*,NF_INQ_LIBVERS()
END
and compiles it like this:
hcp@lap1-pc:~/wrk/fprogs$ g77 ncdftest.f -lnetcdf
One gets this error message.
/tmp/cceD20aq.o(.text+0x13): In function `MAIN__':
: undefined reference to `nf_inq_libvers__'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
If the same program is linked against a version of netcdf built from
source, with the Fortran interface enabled, then it links correctly.
Just as a wishlist item, it would be nice to have the Fortran interface
available as a Debian package.
