Package: cscvs
Version: 1.0pre25.patch.79-3
Severity: normal

As discussed on the Gnu-arch-users mailing lists.

Binary files appear to be truncated at byte codes such as "0x00",
"0x1A" and "0x80" if these appear in binary data.

This doesn't appear to be TLA's fault or cscvs's fault, in fact
it would appear to be CVS's fault, as typing in the following command
will reproduce the curruption:

cvs -q update -p -r1.1 themes/default/trans-showings.png > /tmp/abc.png

It might be related to the -p option, as the normal CVS checked out
version is OK.

I was debating whether or not to file a bug report since it isn't
actually a bug against cscvs (as far as I can tell), but thought this
might serve to warn others before falling for the same trap ;-).

I can provide more information on request.
