Is there any chance that the dependency for this package would be changed
from libpng2 to libpng10?  libpng2 and libpng3 are deprecated now and have
been replaced by libpng10 and libpng12, respectively.  These two last
packages do not conflict between them.

I am asking this because my plplot packages are stuck in unstable because of
the problem above.  My packages build-depend on both libgd2-dev and
libgnome-dev.  libgd2-dev correctly depends on libpng12 and libgnome-dev has
an indirect dependency on libpng2 (through gdk-imlib1). Since libpng12 and
libpng2 conflict with each other, the build daemons refuse to build the
plplot packages.

I would be most thankful to you if you consider fixing this "bug".
