Package: rawrec
Version: 0.9.98-1
Severity: wishlist

On my PowerBook (big-endian machine), I get the following error when
executing rawplay without any argument:

rawplay: SNDCTL_DSP_SETFMT ioctl on /dev/dsp failed: Invalid argument

Using --sample-format=s16_be solves the problem. How about using
s16_be by default on big-endian machines?

Improving the error message if the sound format is not supported would
also be a good idea.
