Hi, to be sure I downloaded rxvt-unicode versions 7.0 and 6.3, the latest before 7.0, from the upstream site and compiled them with default options. Version 6.3 works as expected, 7.0 shows the bug. strace shows that app-defaults/URxvt is not being opened anymore, so the reason its settings are not used anymore cannot be an error in the file.
