Bug#88529: marked as done (diskless: .ai-old files get in the way of updating host for removed packages)

Here I removed the xdm package, and run newhost for update.  Here is what I
get:

Delete /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm/authdir
deleted: deleted; /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm: same
Delete /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm
Cannot delete /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm: Directory not empty
root@bylbo:/etc/X11/gdm# ls /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm
authdir.ai-old
root@bylbo:/etc/X11/gdm# rm -rf /var/lib/diskless/default/10.0.0.2//var/lib/xdm

diskless has been removed from Debian due to bugginess and lack of
maintenance.  Similar functionality is provided by lessdisks.  For
