All I can say is that nobody has complained about it not working but I
couldn't say if anyone has actualy tried it. But I see no reason why
loadlin should fail where syslinux and isolinux and similar all work.

Loadlin still builds the normal 16bit binary even on amd64 and the
result should be bit identical to i386 (unless it has some timestamp).

Please also consider that policy says packages have to build on all
possible archs. After sarge this bug will be RC while a possible
broken loadlin would only be a normal bug. And without a loadlin
package the chance of someone actualy testing it decreases
drastically.
