Hi,

While I agree that users should know that the patch doesn't apply
cleanly to the kernel-sources-2.4.22 package, I think that NEWS.Debian
or README.Debian file in /usr/src would be better than a debconf notice.

I think especially those users advanced enough to use kernel-patch-...
packages should know of the existence of the README.Debian or
NEWS.Debian file (and NEWS.Debian has the advantage of being displayed
by apt-listchanges, when installed).
