Bug#333879: slimp3: possible license violation?

Package: slimp3
Version: 4.2.6-2
Severity: wishlist

The Debian distributed source of slimp3 contains the following binaries:

bin:

These are *not* included in the resulting .deb, but I find no copyright
on those binaries. I *suspect* they are covered by APSL, which IIRC
isn't DFSG compliant.

Also, in the source distribution, a firmware file is distributed. In
newer upstream releases it is made clear that "Squeezebox firmare may
not be redistributed under any circumstances". However, they still do
distribute the mDNSResponderPosix without any license - only
*Perl* code is GPLd.

A license clarification might be due for the source distribution.
